The Kansas City Royals lost to The Tampa Bay Rays, 0-4. 

Junior Caminero hit a two-run homer on the first pitch he saw from Seth Lugo (6 IP, 9H, 3ER, 7K)

Caminero has hit a home run in his last six games, matching a Tampa Bay record. The star third baseman is only two homers away from tying the league record of eight, which is currently held by Dale Long, of the ‘56 Pirates.

The Royals managed six hits, yet were shutout. Jensen in the 6 spot, went 0-4. Caglianone did go 2-4 at the plate, including a single in the bottom of the 9th. 

Tampa’s starter, Shane McClanahan, threw 6 innings only giving up three hits and struck out 4 batters. 

Cedric Mullins hit his 9th bomb of the year in the 6th inning.
